Our Female Wellness Panel is a set of tests that is used to provide a general evaluation and screening of a woman’s overall health status including how well hormones are functioning.
Includes 10 exams
(CBC) Complete Blood Count:
This is a routine screening test that measures the concentration of white blood cells (leukocytes), red blood cells (erythrocytes), and platelets (thrombocytes). This test is used to evaluate a patient’s overall health and is also useful in diagnosing many disorders, such as anemia, infections, leukemia and bleeding problems.
(CMP) 14 test Chemistry Panel:
This is a routine screening panel composed of 14 tests that measure the levels of electrolytes such as sodium and potassium as well as glucose and protein levels in the blood. This panel also measures the function of the liver and kidneys.
(TSH) Thyroid Stimulating Hormone:
TSH is a hormone secreted by the pituitary gland. TSH levels are used to evaluate thyroid function and to diagnose and monitor thyroid abnormalities and disease.
(UA) Urinalysis:
This is an analysis of the urine that is used in routine medical evaluations look for infection as to screen for kidney disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, muscle breakdown, and liver disease.
Lipid Profile:
This test is used to measure cholesterol and lipids. Elevated cholesterol and lipids levels are strongly associated with increased risk of heart disease and heart attacks as well as strokes and peripheral vascular disease.
Progesterone:
Progesterone is a hormone that is mainly produced in the ovaries. This test measures the amount of progesterone in the blood and can be helpful in determining if ovulation is occurring, determining the cause of infertility, assessing the risk of miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy, and diagnosing some types of cancers.
Estradiol:
Estradiol is the most important form of estrogen and measuring the level of estradiol in the blood can provide important information regarding the functioning of the ovaries.
(FSH) Follicle Stimulating Hormone:
FSA is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland and helps control the production of eggs by the ovaries and the menstrual cycle. This test is used to evaluate a woman’s egg supply, the functioning of the ovaries, and menstrual problems.
(LH) Luteinizing Hormone:
LH is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland and measuring the levels of LH in the blood can help aid in diagnosing pituitary disorders. This test is also helpful in investigating menstruation irregularities and determining the cause for a women’s infertility.
(DHEA-S) Dehydroepiandrosterone:
DHEA-S is a hormone produced in the adrenal glands, and measuring these levels is useful in detecting tumors of the adrenal gland, adrenal cancers, and adrenal hyperplasia. Significant increase in DHEA-S levels in a female may result in the development of masculine characteristics including; facial hair, deeper voice, acne, increased muscle mass, and irregular or absence of menstrual period.
